About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the successful delivery of fire protection projects by providing engineering expertise, coordinating technical aspects, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout. You will work collaboratively with design teams, subcontractors, site personnel, and suppliers to maintain project integrity. The role involves close coordination with project managers, supervisors, engineers, and technicians to meet project objectives and compliance requirements. Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering input into fire protection system design and installation
  • Review drawings and design documentation to ensure compliance with codes, specifications, and project requirements
  • Assist in coordinating suppliers, subcontractors, and technical documentation
  • Track and monitor site progress to ensure technical accuracy and quality standards are met
  • Conduct inspections of systems as required
  • Assist with RFIs, technical queries, and compliance documentation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records and engineering data
  • Report to the Project Manager, liaise with internal teams and site supervisors to resolve design or installation issues
  • Assess engineering deliverables and implement corrective actions
  • Work across multiple disciplines to meet project needs
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably in construction, fire protection services, or a related role
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards related to fire systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with site and office personnel
  • Experience with project management software and tools such as Procore, AutoCAD and MS Office
Location
  • This role is based in Darwin, NT, with work primarily supporting local and regional projects. As a locally based position, it offers the opportunity to be part of the community while contributing to significant protection projects across the region.
