Job Title: Orthopedic Manuscript Reviewer

The role of an Orthopedic Manuscript Reviewer is to evaluate and provide constructive feedback on manuscripts submitted to academic journals in the field of orthopedics, bone and muscle medicine.

This is a freelance opportunity where you will be responsible for determining whether the manuscript is original and adds new knowledge or insights to the field. You will also evaluate study design and methodology to ensure reproducibility, check if the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant research in the field, and analyze results and conclusions to ensure they are supported by the data and significant to the field.

You will be providing clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors, which is essential for the growth and development of researchers in this field.

To be eligible for this role, you must have a Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree in the subject area, at least two publications in the last two years in the field, and a thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within the discipline.

A strong analytical and critical thinking skillset is required, along with excellent written communication skills. You must also have the ability to adhere to deadlines and manage time effectively, maintain confidentiality and objectivity, and prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.

Required Skills:
  • Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree in Orthopedics, Bone and Muscle Medicine
  • At least two publications in the last two years in the field
  • Thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles
