Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to create detailed 2D and 3D models, drawings, and specifications using CAD/CAM software. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering and experience in troubleshooting and operating computer-controlled machine tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D models, drawings, and specifications using CAD/CAM software.
  • Transfer computer-generated CAM programs to computer-controlled machine tools.
  • Validate parts as they are manufactured.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during the development and production phases.
Requirements
  • A diploma or higher in an engineering discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in using CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Delcam Powermill, and Solidworks.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and the operation of computer-controlled machine tools such as milling machines, lathes, and wire cut EDM machines.
  • Haas experience is highly regarded.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per annum.
  • Remuneration will reflect current market conditions and industry award rates.
  • Full-time position with an 8-hour shift.
  • Overtime pay available.
