Senior Finance Manager

We are seeking a skilled Senior Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management accounting and excellent analytical skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and assisting the accounts payable and receivable teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Processing fortnightly payroll and ensuring timely payment of staff.
  • Preparing and submitting monthly statutory returns, including BAS statements, payroll tax returns, superannuation lodgements, and other industry-related reports.
  • Providing financial support for construction projects by collaborating with project managers and contract administrators.
  • Performing month-end close activities, including balance sheet reviews, cost allocations, and P&L analysis.
  • Delivering comprehensive and accurate reporting from divisional manager level to board level.
  • Liaising with external auditors and tax accountants to prepare final reports and returns.
  • Assisting in the preparation and management of budgets and forecasts, including fortnightly cash flow forecasting.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency, working closely with stakeholders to implement solutions that benefit the business.
  • Mentoring junior staff and promoting continuous improvement.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CA/CPA qualification (essential).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in management accounting or similar finance support roles.
  • Construction industry experience an advantage but not essential.
  • High-level numeracy and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Commercial acumen and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in finance/ERP systems, and advanced Excel.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.
