**Key Opportunity:**

The position of Vendor Specialist plays a crucial role in the management of the end-to-end lifecycle of supplier relationships. This entails engaging, developing, and negotiating supplier contracts, onboarding suppliers, assisting with due diligence, managing financial aspects of supplier spend, reporting, supporting tender processes, benchmarking industry standards, and ensuring contract compliance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and negotiate supplier contracts, involving business, finance, and legal teams.
  • Supporting the onboarding and off-boarding of suppliers, including setting up and maintaining their accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and purchasing order/invoice management.
  • Maintaining ongoing relationships with suppliers, monitoring contract performance, and addressing escalations as needed.
  • Developing supplier strategies to identify opportunities for improved business value and cost savings.
  • Reporting and managing supplier risks, participating in due diligence, and identifying changes in the environment and supplier landscape.
  • Managing key contract obligations, governance reporting, service levels, and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in managing critical supplier contracts within a financial services or payments environment.
  • 3 years' experience leading strategic initiatives in supplier management or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple supplier portfolios in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen in assessing and managing supplier risks and governance processes.
