Job Description

Springdale Heights Pre-School is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pre-School Director to lead our team. This is a fixed contract position in 2025.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the pre-school, including staff, facilities, programs, policies, and procedures. They will provide inspiring and caring leadership and management to teachers, educators, and staff, ensuring alignment with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Daily management of the pre-school, including staff, facilities, programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Providing inspiring and caring leadership and management to teachers, educators, and staff.
  • Overseeing financial operations and management of the preschool.
  • Developing collaborative relationships with children, families, and the local community.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and educational frameworks governing early childhood education and care.
  • Maintaining effective communication channels with key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent), NESA Accreditation, Current NSW Working with Children Check, Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificate, Child protection training, and a high level of knowledge of the National Quality Standards, the National Regulations, and the Early Years Learning Framework.

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent as recognised by ACECQA).
  • NESA Accreditation.
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificate.
  • Child protection training.
  • A high level of knowledge of the National Quality Standards, the National Regulations, and the Early Years Learning Framework.
