About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant to support our Project Management team in delivering exceptional results.

Job Description
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to drive projects forward, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Coordinate activities with the project team to achieve seamless execution.
  • Oversee project finances, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Organize and maintain up-to-date contract documents, ensuring compliance and transparency.
  • Develop and manage project construction schedules, working closely with the Superintendent and subcontractors.
  • Play a key role in finalizing project budgets, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Issue subcontracts, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Prepare master submittal schedules and logs, facilitating efficient communication.
  • Schedule regular owner and subcontractor coordination meetings, promoting effective collaboration.
  • Manage and resolve project-specific issues, documenting resolutions for future reference.
  • Support the Superintendent in implementing SBBCC's on-site quality control and safety procedures.
  • Review and process subcontractor Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) forms.
  • Prepare and distribute Owner Change Order Requests, ensuring approval and implementation.
  • Prepare and distribute subcontractor Change Orders and associated budget revisions.
  • Process monthly Owner Applications for payment, ensuring timely processing.
  • Oversight of project administrative logs and close-out activities, ensuring smooth transition.
  • Emphasize the importance of a safety-first mindset within the project team.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects at various stages, ensuring adaptability and efficiency.
  • Lead a small team of employees, providing guidance, direction, and mentoring in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Background in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Industry experience, preferably in general contracting.
  • Extensive knowledge of Construction estimating, means and methods, accounting, document administration, and industry practices.
  • LEED certification(s) desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential.
  • Experience with MS Project and P6 advantageous.
  • Previous experience managing employees beneficial.
