National Event Operations Director Job Opportunity

The Role: The National Event Operations Director will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for driving operational excellence across all departments. This senior role involves managing a large team and is responsible for the strategic direction of the managed departments.
Key Responsibilities include;
  • Lead teams with a focus on operational excellence
  • Champion a high performing, collaborative and values driven team culture
  • Drive innovation within production methods and technical offerings
  • Manage production schedules, capacity planning and delivery of projects on time and to specification
  • Ensure best practice WHS standards and foster a proactive safety culture
  • Oversee production methods, build standards and compliance with regulations
  • Develop, implement and optimise systems and processes to support peak project delivery
  • Manage real estate portfolio - optimise real estate assets to support operational efficiency and client experience
  • Drive continuous improvement in inventory management and warehouse & logistics coordination
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, freight providers and third-party partners
The Candidate:
We are seeking an experienced leader who has a background in operations management and event production. The ideal candidate will have strong people leadership skills and a high level of business acumen with a firm grip on metrics. They should also have expert knowledge in production across all disciplines and be able to improve methods for both temporary and permanent installations. In addition, they should have vast experience in production of experiential temporary structures and excellent planning, prioritisation and project management abilities. A hands-on and solutions-focused mindset with high attention to detail is also essential. Strong understanding of WHS standards and operations compliance is required. Experience working with ERP or inventory systems would be beneficial. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally are necessary.
