Job Title: Lead Test Strategist - Hardware Engineering

About the Role:

This is a senior position that requires an experienced and motivated individual to develop and manage comprehensive test strategies for hardware engineering products. The successful candidate will oversee environmental and factory acceptance testing, ensuring our products meet the highest standards before they reach clients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage comprehensive test plans in collaboration with product delivery teams
  • Manage system requirements to ensure effective validation and verification
  • Estimate, develop, and execute environmental test plans while driving efficiency
  • Capture and document all objective qualification evidence for product release
  • Investigate test failures and collaborate with engineers on remediation
  • Lead or support rectification, replacement, or modification during testing phases
  • Conduct factory acceptance testing on-site and off-site for new hardware products
  • Provide engineering artefacts and support technical/internal/external reviews
  • Drive timely and high-quality delivery of assigned tasks and report progress
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience managing hardware through V&V activities and factory acceptance testing
  • Expertise in writing test plans and documentation that align with customer requirements
  • Hands-on experience testing hardware components using formal methodologies
  • Deep understanding of developmental and production hardware testing best practices
  • Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an innovative mindset

How You Can Contribute:

To be successful in this role, you will need tertiary qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or electronic engineering (or related field), eligibility for membership with a recognized professional engineering body, eligibility for registration as a Recognised Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ), and eligibility to obtain NV1 Defence Security Clearance (must be willing to apply for NV2).
