Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced psychiatrist to fill this challenging role. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive mental health services.

  • This hospital is a 79-bed facility offering medical services, including a specialist outpatient department, orthopaedic clinic, and a 24-hour emergency department.
  • The successful candidate will contribute to the growth and development of our Mental Health Service, enhancing the lives of patients with mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes, ensuring seamless transitions throughout the care journey.
  • Participating in education and training programs for junior staff members, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to practice as a Psychiatrist in Australia.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry.
