Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Psychiatrist to fill this Locum Consultant role in an acute IPu community setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide expert consultation and liaison services to other healthcare professionals and teams.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Advanced degree in psychiatry (FRANZCP or equivalent) is essential.
  • Current registration with AHPRA is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in adult psychiatry, preferably in an acute IPu community setting, is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team is expected.
