Job Title: Youth Access Clinician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Youth Access Clinician to join our team at New Horizons Enterprises Limited. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to young people in our community.

About the Role:
  • Develop strong working relationships with young people, family, and friends, and local services to provide comprehensive support.
  • Conduct assessments, case planning, and therapeutic interventions to address the mental health needs of young people.
  • Collaborate with internal and external service providers to ensure seamless care coordination and access to necessary services.
  • Develop and co-facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic group programs to promote positive mental health outcomes.
  • Exercise initiative and judgment to improve the experience of young people and service offerings, under the guidance of the headspace Clinical Lead.
Requirements:
  • Degree in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or nursing with registration to the appropriate body (if necessary to practice).
  • Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize, work independently, and seek consultation as required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and awareness of youth health issues and their impact on young people.
  • Demonstrated experience in mental health assessment, psychoeducation, and therapeutic interventions for clients.
  • Awareness of different cultural contexts and ability to deliver culturally sensitive services.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills to form effective working relationships.
  • A sound understanding of privacy legislation, informed consent, limits of confidentiality, and mandatory reporting guidelines.
  • Valid NSW drivers license.
