We are seeking an individual to fill a challenging role as an Assessment and Transition Coordinator.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of prisoner risk assessment, parole application, and pre-release services within a prison location. This will involve participating in the creation and implementation of programs designed to support prisoners in their transition back into society.

  • This includes undertaking prisoner risk assessments and needs assessments, coordinating prisoner applications for parole, and contributing to the Case Management Review process.

In addition, the selected candidate will be required to support the delivery of the CV Reintegration Program at the prison location.

To achieve this, you will work collaboratively with other team members to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting prisoners in their transition.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A demonstrated understanding of transition and reintegration issues and needs of prisoners.
  • An ability to administer risk assessment tools with individual prisoners.
  • A capacity to work collaboratively within a prison setting.
  • Experience in working within a correctional environment.
