About the Opportunity

At Uniting's Revesby Child Care Centre, we strive to provide a nurturing environment for children to grow and develop. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and happiness of our young charges.

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our dedicated team of professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals and snacks for children aged 0-5 years, adhering to food handling and hygiene practices. Your attention to detail and ability to manage dietary requirements and allergies will be essential in providing a safe and inclusive environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare healthy, appetizing meals and snacks for children, taking into account their individual needs and preferences.
  • Maintain accurate records of menu planning, stock control, and ordering to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and meal ideas that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.

Requirements
  • FHSS Supervisor Certificate (essential).
  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education or Children's Services (desirable but not required).
  • Experience in meal preparation for early childhood settings (preferred).
  • Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
