Ophthalmology Registrar 1 Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ophthalmology Registrar to join our team in the Department of Ophthalmology at Canberra Health Services. This is an exciting opportunity for a medical professional to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of ophthalmic services.

This role involves working under the supervision and direction of Consultant Medical Practitioners, managing patients in the Eye Casualty and on the wards, and participating in research opportunities with The Australian National University.

The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. About You

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and have currency in Basic Life Support. Proficient computer literacy skills are also required, as well as a commitment to training and continuing professional development.

You will need to demonstrate your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintain accurate and legible medical records, and contribute to clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives.
