This role offers a chance to make significant contributions to cutting-edge research in defence policy. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working with academic staff, policymakers, and external stakeholders to deliver high-impact research and publications.

The position is based at the Australian War College in Weston Creek, where you will report directly to the Chair in Military Studies. Your primary focus will be on conducting research under their direction, focusing on strategic and defence policy.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine data for publications and graphics.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to edit and proof-read research outputs.
  • Engage with stakeholders to translate research into actionable insights.
  • Support the teaching and mentoring of postgraduate students.
Selection Criteria
  • Australian citizenship.
  • Degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest or expertise in strategy and defence policy.
  • Excellent research skills.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
