Frontline Receptionist

We are seeking a highly skilled Frontline Receptionist to join our team at St John of God Geelong Hospital. This is a permanent part-time position, working up to 30 hours a fortnight.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently delivering a broad range of clerical duties, utilizing established processes to ensure excellent customer service and admission procedures. They will assist patients, visitors, and general public with enquiries and directions, receive pre-admission forms, check health insurance details, and notify patients of any extra charges they may incur.
Duties and Responsibilities- To professionally and efficiently receive and direct incoming telephone calls
- To accurately and confidentially process patient information
- To attend to customer and admission queries in an efficient and courteous manner
- Liaise with doctors, receptionists, and nursing staff regarding documentation requirements
- Maintain general tidiness of work environment
- Demonstrates appropriate financial stewardship by effective and efficient use of supplies and time
- Records any maintenance needs in the Maintenance book
- Participates in the achievement of the Department Operational Plan
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in a frontline clerical/reception role, preferably in Patient Service. A high level of computer proficiency, attention to detail and accuracy, excellent customer service, communication, and organisational skills are essential. The ability to prioritise work requirements and work productively within a team environment is also required.
Salary and BenefitsThis role attracts a salary of $57,859 to $59,522 per annum (pro rata for part-time), plus 11.5% superannuation.
