Job Title: Parcel Sorter

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Parcel Sorter to join our team.

As a Parcel Sorter, you will play a vital role in supporting our Posties who provide essential services to the community.

You will work with a friendly team of like-minded individuals, serving your local community together. Our teams rely on you, and that's something to be proud of.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with processing standard letters, large letters, small parcels, and Express Post articles.
  • Manually handle and sort mail articles that cannot be machine sorted.
  • Load and unload mail from mail bags, trays, containers, and metal cages (Unit Loading Devices).
  • Work across sophisticated processing equipment and lines.
  • Operate load shifting equipment such as hand pallet devices and stackers, while cooperating with operations staff to get the mail into the facility.

About You:

  • We are looking for a full-time, ongoing role on an afternoon shift with expected shifts 1:30pm-9:30pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Flexibility is required to work additional hours if needed.
  • Excellent memory, attention to detail, and ability to lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly.
  • Experience operating manual pallet jacks or stackers is advantageous but not mandatory.
