As a senior geologist, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of gold mining in Western Australia.

The position involves overseeing geological tasks on an 8:6 roster at Beta Hunt Operations in the Southern Goldfields.

Key responsibilities include delivering and maintaining the diamond drill schedule to obtain required data for block models inline with mining schedules.

Infill drilling is currently underway at the Fletcher Zone, with additional data aimed at delivering a maiden Ore Reserve by FY26. Parallel drilling plans are also in place for the Fletcher Stage 2 target area.

This milestone represents growth potential for Beta Hunt, marking the first step in a multi-decade journey for Fletcher within an expanded mine plan.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Monitoring and tracking ore mining activities
  • Producing and maintaining diamond drill schedules
  • Contributing to delivering resource model updates upon drill program completion
  • Geological reconciliation and advice to operations
  • Grade control, ore production, and geological reconciliation standards
  • Assisting in preparation and consolidation of site Geological budgets
  • Reducing costs and increasing revenue through process and continuous improvement
  • Supervision and direction of Project Geologists, Mine Geologists, Graduate / Junior Geologists, Geology technicians, and Contractors

Requirements:

  • 7+ years' mining experience (5+ years' experience in gold mining)
  • Comprehensive understanding of the mining cycle from exploration to mining and geological reconciliation
  • Demonstrated technical excellence in grade control, geological modelling, and estimation
  • Ability to accurately forecast budgets and manage costs
  • Demonstrated experience in Leapfrog
  • Tertiary Qualification in Geology
  • Ability to develop, coach, discipline, and mentor employees in geological roles
  • Possesses a current and valid Manual Driver's Licence
  • Possesses a National Police Clearance valid within the last 12 months
