Senior Power Systems Engineer Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the design, analysis, and implementation of power systems for renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement power systems that maximize efficiency and reliability.
  • Conduct R0 and R1 studies across multiple client portfolios.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, grid connection studies, and power system simulations.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks to ensure project success.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in power systems and renewable energy technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's or PhD preferred.
  • Extensive experience in power systems engineering, with a focus on renewable energy.
  • Strong proficiency in power system analysis tools and software (e.g., PSSE, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD).
  • Prior experience conducting load flow analysis and hold point testing's.
  • Conduct R0, R1 and R2 studies.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering complex engineering projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
