GIS Analyst Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Analyst to join our team. As a GIS Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality spatial data analysis and cartography to drive business success.

About the Role
  • Undertake spatial data processing, capture and audit tasks for asset management projects
  • Extract pertinent spatial data and related information from client databases and manipulate using ETL processes to suit project requirements
  • Adhere to data processing workflows and quality control frameworks, while identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Produce high-quality cartographic figures
  • Regular reporting, both formal and informal, to team leader and project manager
  • Provision of general GIS support and technical services across the business, as required
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in GIS or a related spatial discipline
  • Experience in ArcGIS or QGIS suite of software
  • Spatial data management, analysis and geoprocessing experience
  • A sound understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of products and working within the Windows operating system
  • Knowledge or experience in FME, Python scripting, field data capture technology, or previous work in a consulting environment will be seen as advantageous
