We are seeking professionals to improve the wellbeing and mental health of students through evidence-based interventions and support services.
As part of a statewide initiative, we are increasing the number of wellbeing professionals across the state to ensure every student has access to support at school.
About The Position- Purpose: To enhance student wellbeing and mental health outcomes through targeted interventions and support services.
- Responsibilities:
- To collaborate with teachers and other staff to identify and respond to student wellbeing needs
- To deliver individual and group therapy sessions for students
- To develop and implement school-wide wellbeing programs
- Requirements:
- Certification as a psychologist or social worker
- Current registration with relevant professional bodies
- Working with Children Clearance (blue card)
You will be passionate about improving the lives of children and believe in equity and non-pathologizing those in need. Coming from an appropriate clinical or educational setting you will have strong interpersonal and engagement skills, thrive in a varied role and environment, enjoy working with children and adults holistically, knowledge of mental health concerns and how they may impact students, expertise in delivering child-focused interventions, ability to work within frameworks, systems, and structures.
