E-Commerce Manager Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven E-Commerce Manager to lead and grow our online retail business.

This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and executing a robust e-commerce strategy to enhance customer experience, drive revenue growth, and maintain operational excellence across all digital channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of the company's e-commerce platform on a daily basis.
  • Strategies to increase online sales, improve conversion rates, and enhance customer satisfaction will be developed and implemented.
  • The management and optimisation of the online product catalogue including product listings, descriptions, pricing, and images.
  • Analytical skills to examine sales data, customer behaviour, and website performance to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • A seamless and engaging customer journey across all digital touchpoints.
  • Collaboration with marketing to support digital campaigns, promotions, and seasonal initiatives.
  • The utilisation of analytics tools such as Google Analytics and social media insights to inform strategy and track performance.
  • E-commerce operations aligning with overall business objectives and customer expectations.
  • Collaboration with internal teams and external partners to stay up to date with new technologies and best practices.

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience in an e-commerce management role similar to this one.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team.
  • An in-depth understanding of current e-commerce platforms, technologies, and digital tools.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, SEO, SEM, PPC, Google Ads, and Google Shopping.
  • Demonstrable experience in analysing data to make informed strategic decisions.
  • Excellent knowledge of digital marketing channels and social media platforms.
  • Strong IT proficiency and analytical mindset.
  • Commercial awareness with a strong focus on results and performance.
  • Ability to adapt to change and drive innovation in a fast-paced environment.
