Occupational Therapist - Graduate Program

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated and passionate occupational therapy graduate to make a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

As an occupational therapist, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and support to our participants. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in various areas of occupational therapy, including assistive technology, home modifications, paediatrics, and mental health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Become proficient in various areas of occupational therapy, including assistive technology, home modifications, paediatrics, and mental health
  • Assess participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical levels of function and capacity to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
  • Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals and develop strategies to improve participants' abilities
  • Participate in professional development and receive formal one-on-one supervision and group supervision
About the Role:

The role involves working with individuals who require assistance with daily living tasks, as well as those who are seeking to achieve their personal goals. You will be responsible for assessing participants' needs and developing tailored plans to help them achieve their objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current registration with AHPRA as an occupational therapist or eligible for registration upon graduating
  • Passion for collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team and making a positive impact on the community
  • Desire to work with children and adults with diverse needs and abilities
