Our organization is a major provider of tertiary health services, professional education and research across multiple sites in Melbourne and statewide.

The Food Services Department consists of two business units: Patient Food Services and Medi-Chef. This department provides patient meals for various healthcare facilities as well as Royal Women's Hospital, producing approximately 2700 cook/chill meals per day.

As an Operations Coordinator, you will support the Operations Manager to lead supervisors, menu monitors, and stores personnel at finishing kitchens across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining organizational policies and procedures, including food safety and departmental SOPs.
  • Coordinating with Supervisors and Menu Monitors, including meal management systems, rosters, and staffing levels.
  • Assisting in building and maintaining the patient meal management system, administration of database systems, and engaging with stakeholders on changes relating to dietetics and nutrition.
  • Implementing cost control measures guided by the Operations Manager.

Requirements include experience in hospital-based meal management systems, warehouse or supply chain systems, sound knowledge of dietary and nutritional requirements, and knowledge of food safety principles.
