Job Title: Community Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Support Specialist to join our team. As a Community Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support and education to clients with disabilities in their homes and in group settings.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a Diploma in Community Services or similar qualification. You will need to have at least 2 years of experience working in a professional setting, preferably in community or aged care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to clients with disabilities
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as cleaning and meal preparation
  • Support clients to develop skills and participate in activities that promote independence
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and provide regular updates to family members and caregivers
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in community support

Requirements

  • Diploma in Community Services or similar qualification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a professional setting, preferably in community or aged care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
