Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced civil engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering design, including computer aided design and drafting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all design work is completed in accordance with current industry standards and best practices.

Key responsibilities include estimating material costs, providing technical support to civil engineering professionals, and preparing plans for laboratory tests of construction materials and soils.

Additionally, the candidate will undertake 'as-build' drawings of construction activities, provide input into the development and maintenance of design standards, and prepare preliminary and final project cost estimates.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Australian 'C' class drivers license.
  • Working knowledge of technical standards and specifications relating to air, road, and drainage design.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, Civil 3D / Auto CAD, and 12d.
  • Sound knowledge of airport design and geotechnical investigation principles.
  • Sound knowledge of asset management principles and concepts.
  • Previous experience in airport runway design in both urban and rural environments.
