About the Job

Loram is a global leader in track maintenance technology and services. The company is expanding and looking for an experienced senior leader to oversee its fleet operations.

This role involves leading a group of machines across multiple contracts, guiding and supporting a team of Assistant Managers and Superintendents. It requires expertise in maintaining high safety standards, ensuring operational excellence, optimising machine performance and reliability, and driving continuous improvement in both operational and financial performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring 100% safety compliance, promoting continuous improvement in safety culture, overseeing fleet equipment maintenance, and ensuring machines operate at peak performance levels.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Safety and Operational Excellence: Ensure 100% safety compliance, promote continuous improvement in safety culture, oversee fleet equipment maintenance, and ensure machines operate at peak performance levels.
  • Leadership & Talent Development: Lead, mentor Assistant Managers, Superintendents, and crew members, ensuring compliance with training requirements and personal development plans for the team.
  • Business Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting activities, monitor key performance indicators, report on operations to stakeholders, maintain authorised machine inventory levels, and manage resource allocation.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with customer contacts, ensure service expectations are met, resolve any issues promptly, and act as the key point of contact for managing service quality and expectations.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage cross-functional teams, build lasting customer relationships, and drive results-oriented decisions.
