Strategic Communications Lead

This position is accountable for upholding, maintaining and enhancing the brand image of NSW SES through effective communication strategies.
The successful candidate will oversee and direct all communications to ensure alignment with the agency's vision, values and operational priorities.
- Sustain critical messaging during emergency events across various channels.
- Flexibility in work schedules, including weekends, may be required during periods of heightened operational activity.

Vision: To be a trusted volunteer-based emergency service that delivers excellence in community preparedness and response.
We serve the NSW community as the lead agency for floods, storms, and tsunamis as outlined by the State Emergency Service Act 1989.
With over 10,000 volunteers and a full-time equivalent workforce of over 370, our Units are diverse and varied, reflecting the unique risks faced and roles required in the state's regions.
About You- Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in media, public relations, journalism, or marketing.
- Proven experience in managing teams in media, public relations, or corporate communications.
