Lead Midwife Position

\

We are seeking a skilled professional to assume the role of Lead Midwife, supporting newly qualified and international midwives as they integrate into our team.

\Main Responsibilities\
  • Develop and implement orientation programs tailored to meet the needs of newly qualified midwives.
  • Provide additional support plans as required to ensure successful integration.
  • Collaborate with senior staff and assessors to establish a robust induction process.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Education Support Team to standardize post-registration education across the trust.

Requirements

  • Active registration on the professional register.
  • Able to demonstrate ongoing professional development.
  • Teaching qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability in group teaching, presentations, and assessment.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience in implementing processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for imparting information effectively.
  • Familiarity with current recruitment practices.
  • Previous experience in interviewing and change implementation.
