Group Fitness Manager Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Group Fitness Manager to lead our team at Camberwell club. Your main goal will be to mentor, develop, and promote group fitness initiatives, increasing member engagement.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience as a Group Fitness Instructor and previous management experience in a health club or gym. They will also have registration with Fitness Australia, First Aid and CPR certifications, and Cert III in Group Exercise Instruction.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about group fitness and has strong leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring and developing instructors, managing and timetabling classes, and building a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Group Fitness Instructors
  • Mentor and develop instructors to improve their skills and knowledge
  • Manage and timetable up to 100 classes weekly
  • Build a positive team culture and ensure excellent member experience
  • Organize, market, and run group classes
  • Maintain energetic, focused, and professional classes
Requirements
  • Passion and significant experience as a Group Fitness Instructor (Les Mills or studio style preferred)
  • Previous management experience in a health club or gym
  • Registration with Fitness Australia
  • First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Cert III in Group Exercise Instruction
