Current OpportunityOur Tax team is seeking a professional, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to join the Indirect Tax team as a Senior Tax Consultant.
The BDO Indirect Tax practice provides leading-edge consulting advice on Federal and State taxes, including GST, Payroll Tax, Stamp Duty, and Fuel Tax Credits.
Key Responsibilities- Research and draft written advice for GST, payroll tax, stamp duty, and fuel tax credit purposes.
- Prepare and lodge BAS returns, including associated files and workpapers.
- Research tax and indirect tax legislation and provide technical support to the manager and partner group.
- University degree qualified in Accounting and/or Law.
- 4-6 years' experience as a tax professional in a specialist taxation consulting role.
- Previous Indirect Tax experience in mid-tier or Big 4 firms is advantageous.
- Strong written communication skills, including drafting technical tax advice.
- Ability to apply original thought to analysing and solving problems.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
