We are seeking an experienced Exercise and Fitness Instructor who is passionate about improving the quality of life of older adults through exercise programs. As a Health and Wellness Specialist, you will create opportunities for residents to participate in physical activity via individual and group exercise programs.

About the Role

  • Develop and deliver evidence-based exercise programs to promote independence, health, and well-being among residents.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design tailored exercise programs that meet resident goals and quality of life outcomes.
  • Implement organizational initiatives across all residential homes, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure all residential Health & Wellness programs operate effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in our Health and Wellness Centre.

About You

  • Certificate IV or higher in Fitness, Exercise Science, Personal Training, Exercise Physiology, or equivalent.
  • Current accreditation with Physical Activity Australia, AUSActive, or Exercise & Sports Science Australia.
  • Experience in designing and implementing exercise programs for older people, including those living with cognitive impairment and frailty.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to maintain positive working relationships with external stakeholders.
