Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our team, where you will have the opportunity to deliver evidence-based health and wellness therapy to clients.

This role involves working under our proven multidisciplinary model of care, which has significant benefits for getting clients onto their best health pathway. Our model uses a comprehensive assessment battery and case conferencing process to inform targeted prescriptions, with the client journey culminating in ongoing exercise and service participation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contribute positively to multi-disciplinary care planning for clients
  2. Demonstrate experience in person-centred practice, service continuous improvement, evidence-based treatment and service delivery
  3. Engage in case conferencing and problem-solving of complex care needs
  4. Proactively deliver evidence-based reablement pathways that ensure client physical, social and mental health benefits
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Must be an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with an appropriate tertiary level qualification and current registration with Exercise and Sports Science Australia
  • Have experience delivering health literacy to clients
  • Possess well-developed technical skills to design, implement and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions for older people
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the effects of exercise interventions in managing chronic and complex clinical presentations
  • Ability to teach, coach and motivate clients, using models of behaviour change, scientific evidence and clinical reasoning
