About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our multidisciplinary team based in Brisbane (Woolloongabba), Cairns, Mackay, Sydney (Macquarie Park or Mascot). As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing expert guidance and support to individuals recovering from injury or illness, facilitating their return to work and daily activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' physical, psychological, and social needs.
  • Develop personalized rehabilitation plans aimed at achieving sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
  • Provide counselling and support to clients to help them overcome barriers and build resilience.
  • Liaise with employers to design and implement suitable workplace modifications and accommodations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment and rehabilitation efforts.
  • Monitor and review clients' progress, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records in compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Requirements
  • Professional membership or eligibility for membership with relevant accrediting body ASORC.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in using case management software and other relevant IT tools.
  • Full Clean Driver's license.
