Join our team as a Store Manager Chatswood to lead the Black Star Pastry store in Chatswood. This is a full-time role offering 38 hours per week with a flexible roster, supporting a strong work-life balance.

About The Role

This space has its own unique identity while offering the full range of Black Star Pastry's signature cakes and products. We are looking for an experienced Store/Cafe Manager who can oversee all areas of store operations.

The successful candidate will provide 'hands on' leadership within the store, ensuring employees are trained in all store processes, standards and expectations. They will also communicate position expectations and monitor employee performance, including coaching and counselling when necessary.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on leadership within the store and oversee all direct employees.
  • Communicate position expectations and monitor employee performance.
  • Ensure adherence to systems, policies, procedures and productivity standards.
  • Complete weekly rosters in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Maintain workplace cleanliness and WHS standards.
  • Ensure quality of service by maintaining consistent standards.

About You
  • 2-3 years' leadership experience in hospitality.
  • Talent for mentoring others – you love to lead by example.
  • Passionate about customer experience and product quality.
  • Ability to connect with customers and provide exceptional customer experience.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated capability to multi-task – organisational skills will be a strength.
  • Positive team player with strong communication skills.
  • Authentic and down-to-earth with a genuine love of people.
  • Confidence in rostering and sales forecasting.
  • Holds a valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or willing to obtain one.
