Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Asia Centre Officer.

This role will provide high-level support to the Asia Centre through event planning, coordination, and delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders, stakeholders, and international partners to drive initiatives that make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver events that showcase the Asia Centre's impact and reputation.
  • Develop compelling communications to engage Asian diaspora communities in Western Australia.
  • Provide administrative support to senior leaders, including meeting management and servicing of committees or boards.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, business partners, and community organizations.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in event planning, coordination, and delivery.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in drafting professional communications and marketing materials.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working across cultures with international stakeholders highly regarded.

About the Role:

This is a part-time (0.4 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis. The successful candidate will be required to work collaboratively with the Asia Centre's leadership and governance structure.
