Aircraft Maintenance Role

Conducting planned and unplanned maintenance activities on helicopters is a key responsibility in this role.

Job Description:

This Aircraft Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for conducting planned and unplanned maintenance activities, working on B412 and H145-D3 helicopters. The ideal candidate will have a CASA Part 66 B1.3 or B2 Licence and a comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and their maintenance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct planned and unplanned maintenance activities on B412 and H145-D3 helicopters.
  • Provide mentoring and leadership as a LAME for assigned AMEs and Apprentices.
  • Ensure facilities are compliant with AMO MOE and regulatory standards.
  • Promote and support reporting culture for safety and quality matters.
  • Facilitate and support risk assessments and ORR investigations.
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections of aircraft systems, structures, and components to ensure airworthiness and compliance with regulations.
  • Execute maintenance tasks, repairs, and replacements of aircraft parts and systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspection reports, repair logs, and compliance documentation, to ensure regulatory compliance and traceability.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Requirements:

  • CASA Part 66 B1.3 or B2 Licence.
  • B412 Type Rating - Mandatory.
  • H145-D3 Type Rating (desirable).
  • Full-time working rights in Australia - Mandatory.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and their maintenance requirements.
  • Familiarity with aviation regulatory requirements and standards, particularly regarding airworthiness and maintenance control.
  • An understanding of company policies and procedures (MOE and SMS).
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within a team.
  • Be practical and resourceful with demonstrated organisational and problem-solving skills.
