Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team as a Credit Risk Analyst.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and optimizing our credit risk strategies. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to monitor portfolio performance, analyse credit trends, and implement strategies that mitigate risk and support business growth.
Credit Risk Analysts are responsible for analysing credit portfolio performance to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. They deliver regular reports on delinquencies, credit score distributions, and other key metrics.
Credit Risk Analysts also conduct deep dives into credit data to generate actionable insights. They support the development and execution of credit risk strategies across products and member segments.
In addition, Credit Risk Analysts collaborate with the Credit team to enhance acquisition, retention, and credit limit strategies. They evaluate and test new credit risk models and strategies.
Credit Risk Analysts must be able to monitor emerging risk patterns and recommend strategic adjustments. They contribute to proactive risk mitigation initiatives.
Requirements
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) are essential. Experience with SAS and understanding of credit risk models is desirable.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are required. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate insights effectively is necessary.
Tertiary qualifications in Business or Commerce are preferred.
