Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Retail Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and maintaining high levels of customer service
  • Supervise and train Front End Assistants to ensure they are meeting their performance expectations
  • Maintain the store's appearance and organization, including the stockroom and back office areas
  • Monitor and control cash handling procedures, including preparing and dropping bank deposits
  • Authorise register functions, including post voids, returns and discounts
  • Comply with Human Resources policies and procedures
  • Assist with receiving and stocking procedures, including checking off stock to invoice
  • Perform store maintenance, including taking out garbage and cleaning

Requirements:

  1. Frequent movement across the store directing staff to and from the back office and stock room retrieving and putting away merchandise
  2. Demonstrated understanding and willingness to provide excellence in customer service
  3. Ability to multi-task, direct and manage people
  4. Creative thinking
  5. Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  6. Solid numeracy skills
  7. High presentation, professionalism, excellent communication skills with an extrovert persona
