Job Description:

We are seeking a Maintenance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing reliable and high-standard maintenance services at our residential aged care facility.

The role involves delivering a wide range of hands-on maintenance services, including general repairs, minor plumbing, painting, gardening, and equipment upkeep. You will also ensure all activities comply with legislative and accreditation standards, including fire safety requirements.

As a key member of the Property Services team, you will work closely with site staff to manage maintenance workloads, budgets, and systems effectively. You will also provide technical guidance to staff and oversee contractor performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a comparable maintenance or facilities role, with aged care experience considered advantageous.
  • Proficient in IT systems and applications relevant to facilities operations.
  • Familiarity with Test & Tag procedures; training can be provided if required.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, solution-focused mindset with a strong work ethic.
  • Approachable, courteous, and service-oriented in all interactions.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with effective time management.
  • Enthusiastic about developing comprehensive knowledge in Facilities Management.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build respectful relationships across a diverse workforce and resident community.
