Job Summary

We are seeking a Food Service Assistant to join our team at Uniting AgeWell Latrobe. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide a high-quality food service to residents, maintaining a clean and safe environment in accordance with our Food Safety Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve meals to residents in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain daily and periodic cleaning schedules for food preparation and service areas
  • Provide feedback on menu planning and escalate any concerns regarding resident's conditions
  • Promote and participate in quality activities, and provide outstanding customer service
  • Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise
Requirements
  • Experience working in food service, preferably in a health, hotel, or aged care setting
  • Casual opportunity working at least 2-3 shifts a week
  • Ability to work at a fast pace as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Initiative and ability to work without supervision
Essentials for Working in Aged Care
  • A current Working With Children Check card/Vulnerable People card
  • Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
  • Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
