About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to join our KinCare team in Latrobe, TAS. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our customers, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing domestic assistance, including cleaning and maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment for our customers.
  • Assisting with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring our customers have access to nutritious food and essential items.
  • Offering social support and access to lifestyle activities, helping our customers stay engaged and connected with their community.
  • Providing personal care, including assistance with mobility, therapy goals, and medication management.
  • Offering respite and emotional support, providing a listening ear and helping our customers cope with challenging situations.
  • Transporting customers to appointments and providing social support during these interactions.
  • Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, including those with dementia.

What We Look For

We are seeking a candidate who:

  • Cares about assisting our aged community and is passionate about making a difference in their lives.
  • Has a current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role.
  • Is able to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, prioritizing the needs of our customers.
  • Is available to work at least 3 days – Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work.
  • Is comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask for help.
