The successful candidate will also make decisions that promote cultural planning, community connections, and self-determination. Operating within a high level of autonomy and accountability is essential for delivering strategic directions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support and guidance to Child Protection practitioners to improve their understanding of Aboriginal culture.
  • Making decisions that promote cultural awareness and understanding among stakeholders.
  • Working collaboratively with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and community services organisations.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require a strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and the ability to build awareness among Child Protection practitioners. A Working with Children Check and pre-employment screening are also required for this position.
