Key Responsibilities:

The Land Economist role supports property management, ensuring optimal performance and effective asset management in accordance with lease terms.

Awareness of property financing on managed properties is essential for informed decision-making.

Strategies are developed to maximize property valuation, considering best use and required returns.

Expert advice is provided on leasing and sales strategies for commercial properties, including analyzing investment opportunities and managing existing portfolios.

Proposals for new leases are evaluated, negotiated with investor approval, and documented agreements are prepared.

Valuation reports are instructed and reviewed to ensure optimal valuation methods.

Annual budget plans are prepared and managed, ensuring timely contractor payments.

Make-good tasks for vacated tenancies, coordinating regular inspections, and managing works projects are also assisted.

Support is given to the property accounts team with:

Arrears management.

Annual operational and capital expenditure budget preparation and finalisation, along with annual reconciliations.

Conducting rent reviews according to lease requirements.

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in property or higher qualification.

Additional property qualifications are desirable.

Relevant experience in commercial property management.

Proven people management skills and high customer service abilities.

Excellent communication and report writing skills.

Numerate and competent in financial and property management systems, with advanced Excel skills.

Ability to demonstrate initiative, manage time effectively, and provide accurate reports within deadlines.
