Responsibilities:
- Spray painting: Apply paint to vehicles with precision, achieving a high-quality finish that meets industry standards.
- Sand blasting: Prepare truck bodies, cabs, and components by removing rust, paint, and contaminants using blasting equipment to ensure a clean surface for painting.
- Paint prepping: Sand, mask, and prime surfaces to achieve a flawless finish.
- Polishing: Use machine polishers and hand tools to remove minor scratches, swirl marks, and paint imperfections.
- Vehicle work: Carry out preparation, sand blasting, and spray painting of truck cabs, buses, and truck bodies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members to maintain repair timelines and meet customer expectations.
- Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, quality standards, and industry regulations.
- Equipment care: Maintain and check tools and blasting/painting equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in your respective trade within the automotive repair industry.
- Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing or relevant experience (essential).
- 2+ years' experience.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools, equipment, and techniques.
- Sound time management and interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
