Lead Maths Instructor

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school community in Wakefield.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality Maths lessons that cater to the needs of all students.

• Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support student achievement.
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and motivates learners.
• Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential in Mathematics, through differentiated instruction and proactive lesson planning.
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement schemes of work, promoting a collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the Maths curriculum and best teaching practices, to ensure student success and school improvement.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and a passion for teaching the subject.
• Experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and engage students.
• A proactive approach to lesson planning and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
