About the Role

  • Play a key role in shaping long, medium and short-term financial planning, delivering high quality internal financial reporting and driving financial capability.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team responsible for managing the organisation's management accounting function.
  • Shape long, medium and short-term financial planning and deliver high quality internal financial reporting.
  • Coordinate budgeting and planning processes, including Long-Term Financial Plan, 4-year budgets and Revenue Policy documentation.
  • Collaborate with business units to improve financial processes and decision making.
  • Enhance reporting tools, dashboards, KPIs and performance frameworks to improve financial transparency and sustainability.
  • Oversee preparation and delivery of accurate financial reports and analysis for executive planning.
Requirements:
  • Degree level qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • CA or CPA qualification (or Australian recognised equivalent).
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a senior finance role; local government experience is highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in financial strategy development and long-term financial planning, with strong ability to present financial information to stakeholders.
