Labor Services Team Leader

As a Supervising Labor Services Representative in the Division of Employment and Workforce Solutions, you will oversee professional and clerical staff to develop a cohesive team that focuses on meeting Department needs by directing staff in a uniform approach ensuring the delivery of services to the agency's customers.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise staff through the development of a cohesive team
- Direct staff in a uniform approach to ensure service delivery
- Represent the Commissioner of Labor and the Division Director at meetings with local workforce investment boards, the local Chamber of Commerce, and other community-based organizations
The estimated salary for this role is approximately $70,000 - $90,000 per year, based on the title, job description, and location. New York State offers a competitive compensation package that includes benefits and opportunities for career growth.

- Subsequent 55 B/C Qualifications: One year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a grade 18 or above, as determined to be similar by civil service and have a current Civil Service 55b/c approval letter.
- Reassignment Qualifications: Current Department of Labor employees only, with at least one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55/b/c service in a Supervising Labor Services Representative.
- Transfer Qualifications: One year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55/b/c service in the following titles may qualify for transfer pursuant to Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law: Employment Counselor – Grade 18, Investigative Officer 2 Unemployment Insurance – Grade 20, Senior Administrative Analyst – Grade 18, Senior Unemployment Insurance Hearing Representative – Grade 20, Senior Unemployment Insurance Reviewing Examiner – Grade 20, Unemployment Insurance Accounts Support Supervisor 1 – Grade 20, Workforce Programs Specialist 1 – Grade 18.
