Pet Therapy Volunteer

Are you and your dog looking to make a difference in the lives of others?

We are seeking individuals who share their time and companionship with our residents through pet therapy. This is an opportunity to not only bring joy to those we care for but also to enrich your own life through the human-animal bond.

  • Calm, patient, and gentle dogs (with their owners) will be visiting our residential aged care facilities on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit with your dog at our residential aged care facilities, spending time with our residents and providing comfort and companionship.
  • Ensure your dog's vaccinations, worm treatment, and flea control are up-to-date.
  • Keep your dog on a lead at all times while on site.

Requirements:

  • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by us.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Availability to visit between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Sunday, for up to an hour.
